ClareLynn 153 Posted February 21, 2022 I became lactose intolerant after my surgery and the way I figured that out was from all the tummy aches and gas. It got much better after I switched to lactose free and started taking lactaid pills before eating dairy.

catwoman7 11,220 Posted February 22, 2022 it could also be some carb you're eating - or some artificial sweetener. Hard to say - but it's probably something you're eating 1 Smanky reacted to this
ClareLynn 153 Posted February 23, 2022 Ooh yeah good point @catwoman7! I also get really bad gas from Sucralose and inulin which has lots of funny names like chicory root, and sometimes just “fiber”.

Hard to say - but it's probably something you're eating This is 100% me. Carbs, particularly grain based carbs, really mess with my guts. Bloating and wind, super uncomfortable. I rarely touch them day to day, but the occasional bite while eating out really comes back to punish me afterwards. I think a lot of us find ourselves with a newfound food intolerance after WLS.
