I'm mostly a moderate conservative.

BTW, Jack....."curmudgeon"?!? My wife thinks I'm the only one to ever use that word (along with "acquiesce", and "churlish")

Strong Conservative here.

Believe in personal responsibility, need much, much less government involvement in our basic, little lives.

Do NOT believe in abortion. You messed up and should have thought of that before you bonked around and got pregnant. You don't have to raise it but don't kill it and make it pay for your irresponsibility. AND if you never wanted kids in the first place, got get sterilized.

Believe in gun rights and being able to protect me and mine from those who refuse to behave and act like a human by staying out of my HOME and off of my PROPERTY.

I also believe in being able to hunt and use the animal for feeding your family.

The list goes on but I don't need to. Y'all get the point!

Oh, I am not that conservative. I just think that people ought to finish their educations and make sure that they have started with their investment plans before they have children. Having a mate in the picture is a really good idea and an investment plan can be very simple: no debts and the habit of saving X dollars per week.

For a long time I was somewhere in the middle. I had some liberal ideas (women's rights...) and some conservative ideas (financially...).

However, in the last 10 years I have grown to become extremely Liberal. I think it grows ever larger the more I hear about the "tea party".

Anway, have fun in your thread! I can't read this stuff or I just go crazy... LOL

Tree hugging liberal - save the planet, compassionate government, gay marriage - the whole deal.

Gays should be able to marry but make gay divorce illegal.

Women should be able to abort. Some should be forced to.

Adults that believe in god are nuts. Yes, you are a raving lunatic!

Capital punishment is the answer to prison overcrowding.

Welfare should be halted. Let the lazy scum die!

Obamacare is going to ruin America's healthcare.

Where does this leave me? :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
