MaureenA 1 Posted January 24, 2022 Hi all, I’m in month 5 and haven’t lost any weight this month- anyone else? Is this normal? My surgery weight was 353 and I’m not 279.
ShoppGirl 5,023 Posted January 24, 2022 I don’t remember the specifics but I had several stalls along the way. If you are sticking with your plan you will start losing again. 1 catwoman7 reacted to this
Queen ApisM 427 Posted January 24, 2022 I'm basically in a 5 month stall, my weight loss has been minimal the past few weeks. Right before, I went through a very quick weight loss period (16+ lbs in 5 weeks) after the last slow down. I'm just trying to ignore the scale and keep doing what I have been doing and aiming for the calorie levels flagged by my nutritionist. It is really frustrating but this too shall pass... or that's what I am telling myself.
Arabesque 7,426 Posted January 25, 2022 (edited) You can experience many stalls as you’re losing so you’re likely experiencing another one now. Frustrating I know. If it persists more than 4 weeks, check in with your dietician. Sometimes a small tweak to your diet can kick start your loss & also ensure you are still following your plan (it’s easy to get a little complacent as the months go by cause we think we have it all under control). A change to your exercise program (frequency, duration or activity) can also shake the stall. Good luck. Edited January 25, 2022 by Arabesque
GradyCat 3,695 Posted January 25, 2022 Yeah, after the infamous Week 3 stall, stalls are sporadic and specific to the individual. It's normal, even though it's frustrating, especially when it's 30 days or longer, but keep focused on doing the right things such as tracking food, getting in your Water, getting in the Protein, and getting some exercise. 1 baygoss reacted to this
