countryrebel12 5 Posted January 20, 2022 I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant and 6 weeks post op I'm worried my baby will have neural tubing defects, has anyone who got pregnant early and high risk had a baby with neural tubing defects? Is there a way to treat it or prevent it ? ShoppGirl 5,034 Posted January 21, 2022 I would see a doctor asap. I’m sure there are things you can do to reduce the risks but the sooner the better. Arabesque 7,459 Posted January 21, 2022 Congratulations! Definitely see your doctor & then your surgeon. Start adding folic acid to your Vitamin regime now - get supplements from your pharmacy. Also, talk to your dietician about what you can add to your post surgical diet to ensure you’re getting in a variety of nutrients.
