ValerieWest 2 Posted January 19, 2022 So I am one week prior to surgery for the bypass. I’m doing my liquid diet and I’m sticking to it 100%, but I cannot stop thinking about eating! Every single thought that runs through my mind is eating, eating, eating! How do I stop this?
DoodlesMom 98 Posted January 19, 2022 The liquid diet will test your will power like never before. You've got to push it off for now so you can reach your goals. Keeping busy helps. Find things that work to keep you preoupied. Call a friend, play with pets or maybe audio books. When you find a few that work, write them down. This won't be last time you'll be tempted to eat. It's tough but you can do it! 4 1 I♡BypassedMyPhatAss♡, Arabesque, ValerieWest and 2 others reacted to this

The reason you're having surgery is the body fights with everything is has to keep the pounds on - until you get surgery. I'm not going to tell you exactly what you can do, but I will tell you it gets easier if you acknowledge that yes, this isn't normal to just be drinking things, but it's in a strange way the ultimate gift you're giving yourself. And this, my friend, is the last time you'll go hungry. Something we have had to do way, way too much on our 400 different diets that ultimately had to fail (see above, body). Can you reward yourself in other ways? Again, know this will pass very, very soon. And for once, going hungry isn't an act of self-punishment, it's an act of self-love. For the last time. ShoppGirl 5,004 Posted January 20, 2022 You just have to get through a few more days of this and most likely you won’t feel hunger for quite some time (a small percentage do). You just have to do whatever it takes to distract yourself and keep thinking of the end goal. You can do this. 1 FarfelDiego reacted to this
