Aymen 14 Posted January 9, 2022 Hi, im 13 weeks post op and having severe back, coccyx and stomach pain. I’ve tried meds etc and checking what I’m eating but it won’t go. The stomach pain is uncomfortable and painful where I can’t even stand. Has anyone else had this at all? a
Guest Posted January 9, 2022 Gallstones? I'm currently worried I may have one; woke up with exactly that kind of pain. Had that exact feeling I couldn't stand up. I'll follow the responses here.
ClareLynn 153 Posted January 9, 2022 I am having similar pain (stomach and back) that comes and lasts for hours then eventually goes away. I saw the surgeon and when he pressed on my gallbladder it hurt. I’m getting an ultrasound Tuesday to check for stones. Definitely ask your surgeon about the pain! ShoppGirl 5,004 Posted January 9, 2022 Have you contacted your team. I don’t think new pain that is so severe you can’t stand up at 13 weeks out is very common. They should have someone after hours to advise you. 2 lizonaplane and ClareLynn reacted to this
Charotera303 20 Posted January 10, 2022 I read about this before my surgery back in November 2021. Gallstone formation is a known complication due to fast weight loss. Sending you lots of healing energy. Let us know if you are doing the cholecystectomy. I will have my 3 mo follow-up soon and I will discuss this cos you can take something to prevent the gallstone formation. 1 lizonaplane reacted to this

I was prescribed this right after my surgery to take for 6 months. I haven't had gallbladder issues so far, knock on wood!

ShoppGirl 5,004 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) Don’t wait for your appointment. Call their office today. If they don’t respond and the pain is terribly bad go to the ER. Edited January 10, 2022 by ShoppGirl

Aymen 14 Posted January 10, 2022 She said to take her pain killers but I can’t. I want to go to the er but I’ve got classes all day
ShoppGirl 5,004 Posted January 10, 2022 As in you are a student? If you miss a class, can’t you make it up? You won’t be able to focus and pay attention anyways if you are in that much pain.
Aymen 14 Posted January 10, 2022 Yes I’m a student. It takes hours in the ER and the pain isn’t as bad right now but I’m going to get my mom to take me later
