gabbykittyvsg 184 Posted March 7, 2022 I had my revision surgery March 1st, went home on the 3rd and went back on the 5th thanks to a bowel obstruction. I'm one of the rare people who experience a bad reaction. We're hoping steroids and time will take away the swelling that's causing the obstruction. Pay attention to the warning signs they tell you. My surgeon gave me a big magnet with instructions of what to do. I did just that and called the on call surgeon, who sent me to the ER and ordered a CT scan. On the plus side, no more GERD! Sulynfan22 27 Posted March 7, 2022 To March Surgery Buddies, well, today is my Gastric Bypass. I'm currently waiting for my best friend to take me to the hospital-have to be there at 7:30am. I'm trusting God to take care of me, but in still a little nervous. I'll let you know how everything goes, when i can. I'm at 224 lbs and am looking forward to seeing that number go down significantly and many of my aches and pains to get much better or go away completely. Please, everyone, keep me in your prayers :) 5 1 carmez3, Eagles8120, UniqueHandle and 3 others reacted to this

LilaNicole20 252 Posted March 7, 2022 (edited) Well, tomorrow is the big day for me. I have a showtime of 0530. Today, I am only drinking my shakes and my Water and I am feeling good. I'm just finishing up getting the house (wasn't expecting this word to be a curse word) and span, laundry done, meals prepped for hubs, and everything ready for when I come home. Tonight we will drive to Ann Arbor and stay at the Holiday Inn so that we don't have any issues in the morning. Let the games begin! Nifer72 49 Posted March 7, 2022 Day 1 of the modified liquid diet. Going to have to watch my blood sugars. I've got to see how they react to Breakfast and lunch being Protein Drinks and a low carb/high Protein dinner. Right now they were too low to need to take insulin when I'm not sure how they are going to react to the liquid meal. I'm not complaining though lol! 2 kcuster83 and LilaNicole20 reacted to this

I don't have diabetes so I don't need to worry about my sugars going crazy so good luck. I know that can be hectic at times. So far so good with me, but I imagine the morning and early day will be easier and the evenings will be harder. I always tend to be hungrier in the evening time and it is when I consume most of my calories. Good luck to both of us, and anyone else on on the pre-op diet currently! 1 Nifer72 reacted to this
