I was able to get all necessary evals and tests done pretty quickly. I hope the long wait isn't too discouraging.

I actually got upset about it and was very close to just going to a dealership and buying me a new jetski with the 20 grand i have put aside for this surgery lol. Its annoying because they are sooooo specific with the psyc evaluation. I found other licensed Psychologist that do bariatric evaluations and my doctors office rejected them all. I have to go with who they approve. I am like seriously??? LOL and the next available appointment for the psyc is in March. I even tried to bribe them and be like "I will pay double to get a sooner appointment" I got shut down haha.

That just sounds bizarre but hopefully it's at least an indication you've got a good doctor. I've thought everyone I've seen throughout this process has been very good except my psych eval which was the dumbest thing in the world. Basically asked me over and over if I'm suicidal and told me a hundred times to contact him if I ever was depressed. I happily took the passing grade and am now looking for someone useful to talk to about any issues that come up.

I was told mine will be 2 hour interview and then a 600-800 question "Exam" on a computer that will take hours to complete. and then they will decide if i "Pass or fail" lol I was like SERIOUSLY? As long as elective surgeries don’t get postponed again. Are you planning to do anything between now and the pre-op diet to prepare?

I have 25 pounds I have to lose with weigh-ins in Jan and Feb to check on progress. So I'm getting myself in the right mindset now. No more "last hurrahs". Just trying to focus and get mentally prepared for the challenges ahead.

LOL The actual psych visit (tele-visit) was easy. There was a humongous questionnaire I had to do before the meeting. It went on and one and on and on. Good luck, you can do it! 1 doobie31 reacted to this
