sm0897962 0 Posted December 28, 2021 I was diagnosed with diabetes 20 years ago. Last year I was informed my pancreas is not functioning at all and was put on a pump. Due to insulin resistance I require a large amount of insulin a day (150 units daily average.) I have my first surgery consult in 4 weeks and I am nervous about how to manage my insulin specifically pre and post op. I do have a CGM which will help. Anyone using insulin pump with advise or success story to help ease my mind?
Guest Posted December 28, 2021 Sorry if this isn't helpful to your question, but look into malabsorptive procedures - there's a lot of good research coming out on that in terms of resolution or improvement of diabetes over the sleeve
