charley27 164 Posted December 23, 2021 Hey! I’m hoping to find someone that’s going on a similar journey. in 2016 I had a sleeve. Lost 100 lbs, got pregnant in 2017 but Kept most of. Then in 2019 we started fertility treatments for number 2 and I gained all 100 back. I’m having bypass revision on Jan 6. I’m panicking. I’m 30, I have two girls, 4 and 1. Live in Illinois. I have an extremely sarcastic personality. Not a good marriage, not much support. I don’t really have friends. Anyone? Lol I sound like a blast 1 1 Summermoose and StratusPhr reacted to this
New1 201 Posted January 3, 2022 Just want to wish you luck! It’s gotta be hard not having the support you need. I’m hoping your revision goes well. I’m having an endoscopic suturing revision for my sleeve that was done in 2012. I lost over 100 pounds and got pregnant a year out. I’ve gone up and down for the past 10 years but never back to my lowest and now I’m close to my high 😩. Hoping for a reset.
ShoppGirl 5,007 Posted January 3, 2022 Hi Charlie. I am not exactly on the same journey as you (I just had a sleeve in March 2021) but still wanted to wish you luck with yours. You should find a ton of support on here. I have found these boards to be a lifesaver since I didn’t tell many people and those I did tell don’t all understand what I am going through. JJ's 2 Posted January 4, 2022 Had revision surgery on 12/27, I have the physical support but the emotion support of my husband comes and goes. He was not a big fan of me having the surgery but respected my decision enough to be present in my recovery which has been far worse than my initial surgery recovery. I agree tons of support on the boards here. It really helped me through the nerves leading up to surgery. As well as giving me some realistic expectations on after care.
