huskymama 149 Posted December 8, 2021 Are you drinking your fluids and staying hydrated? Sometimes hunger is actually dehydration. Good luck
vikingbeast 987 Posted December 8, 2021 The other thing is that immediately post-op, you are still producing a lot of stomach acid... and not eating solid food for that acid to act on. So you get these wrenching "starving" feelings that aren't actually hunger, they're idle stomach acid. Mine went away right around when my incisions stopped itching, so 3-4 weeks, just as I graduated to purées. Now I never have those feelings.
LouLouM 70 Posted January 4, 2022 I'm updating here because I know that when I have a question, I search the forums looking for content similar to what I'm going through. My surgery was November 30th, which I think puts me in week 5, and although I can't just anything, I am definitely eating a lot more solid food and I have to say that I am way more satiated and full for much longer. So for anyone in the very early phases who might be feeling crazy hungry and discouraged, it's gets way better, very early on! Hang in there! 2 Arabesque and ClareLynn reacted to this
