Jerald180 22 Posted November 29, 2021 I’ve noticed my taste of certain things I used to like now taste bitter of quite different. Anyone else experience the same thing since surgery?
ShoppGirl 5,003 Posted November 29, 2021 Immediately post surgery I did not like a lot of sweet things. They tasted extra sweet to me. That’s the only taste difference I noticed so far.
Sunnyway 345 Posted November 29, 2021 Yes, this is quite common, but usually temporary.

Arabesque 7,414 Posted November 30, 2021 Yep, pretty common. Some even find their sense of smell becomes over sensitive & the smell of certain things turn their stomach too. It’s temporary.
Pete-TheTimeIsNow 48 Posted December 2, 2021 I can't drink water.. I used to drink a lot of Water pre-op.. But after the surgery water tastes quite weird to me. So, I've been using crystal lite, gatorade zero, diet iced tea, etc. Waiting for the 'temporary' to pass.
