Supervixen116 29 Posted November 24, 2021 It took almost two years, but rice did me in. My friend, who had gastric sleeve two years before me, said I would throw up in six months. It took a year and a half, but it was rice. I had a great time at a sushi place and paid the price dearly. Rice expands. I should have know this, but I threw caution to the wind. Fair warning to those who eat something that is a carb. Lesson learned! 5 OutdoorsGirl, Elisa2.0, Sunnyway and 2 others reacted to this
Arabesque 7,418 Posted November 24, 2021 Aah, the swelling carbs that keep filling your tummy even after you stop eating & then what your tummy can manage just regurgitates up. My first experience wasn’t an excess of food, eating too quickly or eating something that was too dry or coarse which are the things that trigger the foamies or the regurgitation for me. It was a piece of well cooked mushy carrot in a stew at about 2 months. Ate it the day before no problem but the second day my tummy said no. We all get to learn our triggers but it can be unpleasant along the way. 😁 1 Sunnyway reacted to this
Tomo 1,194 Posted November 24, 2021 I throw up when I eat too much, or too fast or when I don't chew well enough. I'm on a balanced diet (i.e. plenty of carbs but mainly from fruits). For health reasons, I try to have grains almost every day. I have rice often but only one ounce at a meal. Every body is different though, some can't tolerate starches or fat or sugar... Etc.
