vikingbeast 987 Posted November 21, 2021 You'll do fine. Did you get a surgery date yet? Or still working through insurance requirements?
Tony B - NJ 643 Posted November 21, 2021 Nothing to worry about. The surgery is very common and very safe. I have not heard very many people at all who regret doing it. I wish I did it years earlier.

summerseeker 2,236 Posted November 22, 2021 I always think being prepared for something makes the event less daunting. I read an great number of these posts going back years. All the information I needed is in them and they calmed my nerves no end. There is so much knowledge on here and no criticism. Good luck on your journey
Fl_Dad 38 Posted November 22, 2021 I watched all the YouTube videos I could concerning the by-pass leading up to the surgery. In hind sight they were often "worst case scenarios". I am thankful for that because it let me absorb the possibilities. Luckily, I didnt have any of those issues. I can tell you, I was amazed when I woke up from surgery and my only complaint was a sore throat. I wish you the best on your journey.
Jerald180 22 Posted November 23, 2021 Had my surgery this past Friday the 19th. Only issue is getting rid of the Co2 gas they blow you up with to do the surgery. Slow to get rid of it as it is not gas inside the digestive track. Toughest part is adjusting to only liquids these past few days and the small amounts. You’ll do fine.
