Smanky 751 Posted November 13, 2021 It's normal to hurt for the first week or so after surgery. It's major surgery, and you are also recovering from multiple stab wounds from the endoscopic sites. Some folks bounce back quicker, but it took me a good two weeks to stop hurting.
Koaboy61 13 Posted November 14, 2021 Most of your pain will come from the portal they did most of the work from. Mine was on the left side. Biggest thing I can tell you is push through anything uncomfortable, and whatever pain you can easily tolerate. Worked for me. It gets better.
Koaboy61 13 Posted November 14, 2021 Also, make sure your vital signs are normal. No fever and BP/pulse are normal for you. If they are good, and you have no black/bloody stools, there isn't anything bad going on...probably.
Jjsdrm1021 7 Posted November 15, 2021 I must be different. I am 11 days out from RNY w/Hitial Hernia repair on 11/4. The first 3 days sucked, gas pain in shoulders and back. After day three, I feel like I could run a marathon now. Zero issues what so ever. Eating as recommended, no issues drinking liquids or Protein. I feel amazing. I am also back at work.
