Are There Any Demographic Twins Who Got The Sleeve?

Recommended Posts

I wanna see if there is anyone who has similar demographics to me and what your outcomes were for the questions below the demographics.

Height: 5'6

HW: 340

GW: 150

Age: Early 20's

Diagnosed with PCOS

Starting Cup Size: H

Goal Cup Size: D or DD

How much Hair loss did you have after surgery?

Did you have sagging skin after losing weight? If so, did it go away after a while without plastic surgery? If yes, what did you do to make it go away?

Did your stomach go down with the rest of your body while losing weight or is your stomach still bigger than the rest of your body?

I don't match your demographics (I'm 5'3", 41, starting weight 280, no PCOS, and I can't imagine having a goal for my bra size LOL), but I can try to give you some general information from what I've seen on here.

The amount of hair people lose varies a lot, but no lotion or potion or supplement you take is going to fix it. It will start and stop on it's own UNLESS you don't get your Protein and Multivitamin in on a daily basis, and then the Hair loss will be worse. People will swear by Biotin, but there is no evidence, and increasing your biotin can cause weird liver function test results.

You are young, so you have that on your side as far as loose skin. But again, it varies a lot. Like hair loss, there is NOTHING other than plastic surgery you can do to fix loose skin. No lotions or potions or supplements will help, nor will exercises. Focus on getting healthy, wait a few years after surgery to decide if you NEED plastic surgery. One thing to do in the meantime: if you have rashes or infections from your lose skin as you lose weight, document this with pictures and have your doctor document this in your chart because there is a possibility that your skin surgery could be covered by insurance if there is a documented medical need.

I'm 8 weeks out from surgery, and my stomach has gone down, but it is still larger than I'd like. However, this again will vary. I carry a lot of weight in my stomach; some people carry more weight in their thighs and butt or in their chest. I will say that for many of the people whose pictures I have seen, you can notice it in the face before anywhere else.

Good luck on this journey!

I don’t match either but much of what you will experience is individual anyway. We’re all different in how we recover, our pre existing medical conditions, genetics, age, gender, starting weight, length of time being overweight, etc. There will be similarities but also differences.

@lizonaplane is correct. The amount of hair you lose & how long it persists is individual. Your natural Hair loss cycle is accelerated from the shock of the surgery & weight loss & your initial low calorie intake. You really just have to ride it out. Keep up your Protein (breaks down into the amino acids which grow hair & nails & aids skin health). Biotin only may make your new growth hair stronger not help your body grow more hair.

How much loose skin you have is influenced by factors like age (skin loses elastin as you age), how much weight you lose & how long you were overweight, & genetics (luck of the gene pool). It won’t all go away. Once your skin is stretched out, & after whatever bounce back you may get has passed, that’s it. Think of an old hair band stretched out from overuse. Your skin is the same. Some say weight training can help to fill in the loose skin with muscle but depends on how much muscle you want. I carried my obese weight for about 3 or 4 years so not really that long. When I got down to my usual overweight range I had very little loose skin (little pinches) but when I got to my lowest weight I had lots more (big pinches). Still not a lot really especially considering my age & it’s easily hidden under my clothes including body con dresses. No surgery for me.

You tend to lose weight in the same way you put on & carried your weight. If you carried more of your weight in your tummy it will likely be the last place you’ll lose it in comparison. I carried my weight pretty evenly: thighs, butt, tummy, breasts. Benefit of an hour glass figure I guess & I lost it much the same even way. Take regular body measurements to track your weight loss too. Sometimes it shows on a tape measure before it does on the scales.

I went from a 18E to a 10E (pretty empty upper breasts now though). Remember an E cup on a size 18 is much bigger than a size 10 one so while the cup size is the same my breasts are smaller.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
