Cookie.Monster 17 Posted October 31, 2021 Did anyone else get the gallbladder removal along with the bypass? I am only feeling pain in the upper right side where the gallbladder used to be. From the bypass I am fine now that I am 5 days out. If you had it removed did you feel any pain or soreness and if so, for how long? 1 EsojLabina reacted to this

The pain I had from that surgery was greater than my gastric bypass and hiatal hernia. To my surprise the risks are a bit higher than gastric bypass. I had low grade fevers for like 10 days, felt my upper quadrant if as someone had punch 🥊 a million times, I did manage though. Hope you feel ok 👍 just talk to your surgeon 👨⚕️ and speedy recovery

Arabesque 7,414 Posted November 1, 2021 I had my gall removed 2 yrs after my sleeve & my gall removal was way more painful too. Pulled & strained muscles, gas pain, etc. Took longer to recover generally post surgery too. Hope you feel better soon.
HerdingCats 7 Posted November 3, 2021 My doc took mine out during the bypass. Apparently he usually does this. I had a sore, hard spot for about a week but not a huge amount of pain, or at least nothing the pain meds couldn't handle.
Lifestyle Changer 49 Posted November 4, 2021 I’m just about 3 days post op and I’m experiencing more pain now than I ever have. That’s because I thanked warfarin due to my blood clot and PE problems. Any time I have surgery I must stop the warfarin and have Lovenox injections in my belly it causes large hard hematomas. They are painful. When I had my surgery Monday 11/01/21 and it was a complicated one and add the hematomas on my belly I’m in so much pain. No amount of medication will Make it go away. 1 Arabesque reacted to this
