Pete-TheTimeIsNow 48 Posted October 19, 2021 Hi! Quick question for those who were on CPAP on the day of surgery. Did you take your CPAP machine for the hospital stay. Did you use it while at the hospital? Thanks! 1 BlackBeauty734 reacted to this
ImsexyandIknowit 48 Posted October 19, 2021 I took mine, but I never used it while in the hospital
Splenda 257 Posted October 19, 2021 I took mine and used it. I slept in the recliner in my hospital room and put the CPAP on the tray that they would place my food on.
Tony B - NJ 643 Posted October 19, 2021 My surgeon required I had the CPAP with me the day of surgery. When I got to my room I never even gave it a thought since I was so out of it. I ended up using it for maybe an hour or so. 1 msleo88 reacted to this

vikingbeast 987 Posted October 19, 2021 I was told to bring my mask and hose, but not the machine. I didn't use it at all (I was in and out the same day). I did sleep and somehow I managed to sleep without it, and apparently I wasn't snoring.
Sunnyway 345 Posted October 20, 2021 Yes, take your CPAP. If you are kept overnight you will use it. 2 OutdoorsGirl and BlackBeauty734 reacted to this
BlackBeauty734 17 Posted October 23, 2021 Yes I took mine, and used mine. The Respiratory therapist will set it up for you because they have to give you your spirometerSent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
Pete-TheTimeIsNow 48 Posted October 23, 2021 Thanks for all replies! I will take mine. I've been using mine for years every night. I am one of those that had apnea before gaining weight.. not hopeful that mine will go away after surgery .

Sunnyway 345 Posted October 25, 2021 Lucky you. I hope it's because you no longer have apnea and not that you just quit using your CPAP.
Lisa LoVuolo 63 Posted October 25, 2021 Lucky you. I hope it's because you no longer have apnea and not that you just quit using your CPAP. I just quit using it because it gave me an electrical shockSent from my octopus using BariatricPal mobile app
