erica1030 7 Posted October 4, 2021 I had gastric sleeve surgery on September 20th and was losing weight pretty quick but it just stopped in the last few days! Is this normal? Is it going to pick up again? Has anyone else had this issue? 1 GreenTealael reacted to this

catwoman7 11,221 Posted October 4, 2021 yep - it's the infamous three week stall - right on time! Happens to probably 90% of us. If you do a search for it on this site, you will find over 17,000 posts on it (as of yesterday when I looked, 17, 501 to be exact. And no, I am NOT kidding..) 2 Tomo and GreenTealael reacted to this
ShoppGirl 5,024 Posted October 4, 2021 Others said it already but yes the three week stall is a thing. Just keep doing what you are doing. Stay off the scale for a while if that helps and trust the process. The loss will pick back up shortly. 1 MelanatedQueen reacted to this
Smanky 752 Posted October 5, 2021 Yep - MGB surgery on the 22nd, and stalled second week post surgery. It's frustrating, but normal. Do a google search on the medical reasons it happens and it'll make you feel ok about it. It did with me. Just got to ride it out.
lizonaplane 1,613 Posted October 5, 2021 I will just add that the stall can last a few weeks, so don't panic! 2 MelanatedQueen and bufbills reacted to this
alau82 9 Posted October 5, 2021 I'm so glad I came across this post, I too had RNY surgery on 9-20-21 and the scale hasn't moved in DAYS. I feel a lot better now, because I'm following the plan to a T and it's discouraging the weight is not just falling off. 1 bufbills reacted to this
