learn2cook 588 Posted September 28, 2021 I’ve started with the Flintstones with Iron. I have B Vitamins in a meltable tab for under the tongue. Then there’s chewable calcium citrate with Vitamin D. I had a bypass, other surgeries have different requirements. I might have to change up my vitamins when I get blood work done. Right now I’m seeing if the Flintstones is ok for me. I would call your dietitian. At my center they kind of run the show. 1 Hector_el_barbon reacted to this
lizonaplane 1,613 Posted September 29, 2021 Your surgery center should provide you with a list of Vitamins they like. Mine did. Bariatric vitamins are available over the counter, so no need for a prescription. I ordered mine from Amazon, but you can get them here on Bariatric Pal. I was told to take the chewables for the first month, but they made me gag and got stuck in my teeth (I tried two brands) so I switched to the capsules after the first two weeks. Sunnyway 345 Posted September 29, 2021 The Bariatric Pal Store sells a year's worth of one-a-day bariatric Vitamins & minerals (with or without iron), including B-12 and D-3 vitamins, for $99. It's the best deal going. You get the whole year's worth in the first shipment. It's an easy to swallow capsule which dissolves quickly in the pouch. 1 lizonaplane reacted to this
catwoman7 11,220 Posted September 29, 2021 I've always used OTC Vitamins. Just make sure they meet your clinic's requirements. 1 sillykitty reacted to this

ShoppGirl 5,003 Posted October 7, 2021 (edited) Different clinics will vary drastically on this. I have heard of people who take Vitamins anywhere from flintstones to CVS to bariatric. My clinic insists on bariatric. I take pro cate health bariatric Vitamin with Iron. It’s a capsule and it’s one a day supply has the same as bariatric advantages chewable that I had to take twice a day. Early out I took the Bariatric Advantage because it was chewable.
