missPAiGY 13 Posted September 27, 2021 Hey guys! I'm new here so first I would like to say hello to everyone I had my gastric sleeve done Aug 4th. At first I didn't struggle with keeping hydrated but the last few weeks I have been struggling getting in about 40-45oz a day. I try my hardest to keep drinking Water, but sometimes I will catch myself just carrying around my water bottle but forgetting to actually drink. I hardly feel thirsty which I think is my problem. Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone have any advice for me?
JDLane 140 Posted September 27, 2021 I'm bad at remembering to sip sip sip all day like is recommended. So I'll instead set goals for myself like within the next half hour I'll drink my entire 12oz bottle of Gatorade zero. And I'll go through the day drinking bigger chunks every so often instead of constantly sipping. 1 1 missPAiGY and LilaNicole20 reacted to this

lizonaplane 1,613 Posted September 27, 2021 I am just 2 weeks out, and I haven't had any issues yet, but maybe you're just not into Water right now? Have you tried drink mix packets in your water? I find that I get sick of plain water so I make sure a lot of my Fluid is Decaf coffee mixed with Protein Shake, or water with a drink mix packet (I don't like Crystal Light but the Starburst ones are great!). I am able to get about 80oz of water or more a day if I like what I'm drinking. Also, consider the temperature. Would an insulated thermos help it be more appealing? 1 missPAiGY reacted to this
