Had my mini gastric bypass on September 15th and I'm down 12lbs! I know I will fluctuate more than likely but is this normal?

Sounds about where I was at four days out! Today is five days out and I'm down 15 from surgery weight.

what's a mini gastric bypass? How is it diff from the regular bypass?

It's a less complex bypass that has one fewer "connection" (so not a "y" per se)... they staple off part of the stomach to form a pouch and then bypass a smaller amount of the intestines.
