Undeniably_Cute 2 Posted September 15, 2021 Any advice? Anyone rec'd it and then hated the results - or had any issues? I'm a self pay - BMI is 33.5 and I have high BP, pre-diabetes, and anxety. Wondering what others experienced - especially those with similar story...LMK.
Elidh 240 Posted September 15, 2021 (edited) My BMI was 34.3. Sleeved (self-pay) in July 2020 at age 67, and have lost 51 pounds. My weight loss has really slowed down (maybe a pound/month now), but I am SO GLAD I went this route. I am about 10 pounds from goal. One of the best things I have ever done for myself. ZERO REGRETS. Just a little loose skin on belly, but not bothersome enough to do anything (like cosmetic surgery) about. 1 Undeniably_Cute reacted to this
Undeniably_Cute 2 Posted September 18, 2021 Surgery went well. Got a hematoma in my larger incision and there was a severe shooting pain so spent an extra night at the hospital. But after a full night sleep and the dr applying a binder and ice packs, I woke up today feeling much better and ready to go hone. Walked around. An tolerating the 1 ounce at a time fluids (mainly Water and broth) & passing gas - never thought I’d be excited about that. Lol. Overall feeling good, despite the sometimes judgmental looks or comments from the staff about being a cash patient. But overall staff has been good and I can’t say enough about my Dr. his bedside manner, advice, availability even late at night has been an absolute blessing. ❤️
