GooseyGirl 68 Posted September 11, 2021 My surgery is scheduled for Monday - I can’t believe in 48 hours it’s finally time!! I’ve been on the pre-op diet for two weeks tomorrow and I’m down 12lbs. I started at 242 and am now 230. I’m feeling ALL THE FEELINGS… excited, scared, like I’ve failed, like there is hope, like it won’t work for me, like it will work and I’ll finally achieve a normal weight. I’m all over the place! Candace76 212 Posted September 11, 2021 Yay, it's almost here! I think it is totally normal to be "feeling all the feelings"! Yes, I went through many different feelings before my surgery. Nervous, scared, hopeful, & excited! Surgery is a big step. I even wrote letters to my family, just in case. I woke up that day with a calmer feeling, & ready to get it started! So far, things are going well. The first week can be tough (tiredness, soreness, discomfort & difficulty getting fluids down), but it gets better & easier as you go through the different phases of the diet.
