jpnalls776@outlook.com 2 Posted September 6, 2021 Hello,I am week 4 from my surgery and am really tired a lot. I work from home 10 hours most days. This makes it really difficult to get to the gym. My Dr said it will get better. Anyone else have these issues. Thanks Sent from my SM-N981U using BariatricPal mobile app
learn2cook 592 Posted September 6, 2021 Yes, I’m almost at 4 weeks and I’m tired too. Just less energy which I’m trying to make it look like I’m cool and low key at work. I have increased my Protein intake, but I put on pajamas when I get home. I think it’s normal because we’re still healing. I feel like I’m 80% there and getting better. I’m enjoying the weight loss and no hunger! 1 jpnalls776@outlook.com reacted to this
catwoman7 11,221 Posted September 6, 2021 I would say that happens to most of us. Actually, after most major surgeries - not just WLS. My mother-in-law just had hernia surgery and a bowel resection two weeks ago, and she's still exhausted most of the day. Surgery is really tough on your body. that said, I felt like I'd turned the corner after about the third week. I was still tired a lot, but at least i could function (and go back to work). It probably took about two months before I felt totally back to normal, though. 1 jpnalls776@outlook.com reacted to this
Lorey_a 19 Posted September 6, 2021 Yes initially I felt the same way. It does pass overtime as the body adjusts. Just focus on good nutrition and Vitamins and try to get in steps each day even just walking around the neighborhood. Best of luck to you and believe me, you've got this! 1 1 jpnalls776@outlook.com and Sunnyway reacted to this
Sunnyway 345 Posted September 6, 2021 Don't worry about going to the gym yet. Just walk, increasing the distance a little bit every day. You won't want to go to the gym until your incisions are healed and you are back to your normal energy. 1 jpnalls776@outlook.com reacted to this
TatiFati 5 Posted September 8, 2021 Common I think. For the first 2-3 months, was tired nearly every afternoon and whenever I did anything strenuous. It gets better. 1 jpnalls776@outlook.com reacted to this
