I thought it would be neat to share Receipes as we find them or create them for everyone to enjoy!!

1 tsp garlic fresh or minced

1/2 tsp fresh ground pepper

1tsp of Emerils Essence Original

1 can low sodium creme of chicken Soup

1/2 cup skim milk

1 box of low sodium stove top stuffing

In Iron skillet saute or braise the chicken til brown and not pink coating with the spices, in a pot that is oven safe ( I cook with cast iron) mix the soup and milk and belnd together with wire whisk. Remove chicken and lay over the soup mix then pour the vegtables over the chicken making sure to cover it, prepare the stuffing according to package directions and spoon atop the vegtables.

Bake covered in a 400 degree oven for 30 minutes until bubbly!!

Kristin-

What no one wanted to share recipes? I think that this is a great idea. I have one that is a staple for me.

Ambrosia-

1 container of lowfat cottage cheese

1 can of manarin oranges

1 tub of Fat Free cool Whip

1 package of sugar free Orange Jello

Just mix all together and put in fridge to chill about an hour. Enjoy!

I need to figure out the cal. fat, Protein, etc. but will post an update when I do.

I love this recipe because it is filling and you get a fruit, Protein and it is a good sweet fix.

this is my favorite:

Morningstar vegetarian ground beef crumbles heated up in a skillet with taco sauce, then sprinkled with fat free cheddar cheese and a dollup of light sour cream. Pair this with some refried Beans and it makes a great, and filling, dinner.

That sounds good, too!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
