lizonaplane 1,613 Posted September 27, 2021 I had a "TAP block" or something during the surgery, so I didn't have too much pain in the hospital, plus they gave me IV tylenol and some sort of NSAID they said was safe. They sent me home with an opioid and told me to take tylenol every 8 hours as needed. I took an opioid pill once a day for three days and I didn't need it anymore, but I did have to take the tylenol for a while. I did have a fair amount of pain, especially when sitting up or when getting up from lying down. That was just in the first week. By the end of the first week, it was so much better. At two weeks, I can already sleep on my stomach.
Adugal 1 Posted November 12, 2021 I got a pain pump called On-Q which sends numbing medicine to the incision sites on a preset frequency through a catheter. When the medicine finishes you just pull the catheter. I had surgery on Nov 8 2021 so still using it until 5 days. Have a pain med, Gabepentin that I take 3 times a day. Still have pain sitting down and standing up and very sore. Hoping it gets better soon!
