Ready21 34 Posted August 12, 2021 I had my VSG a month ago and they also did a hernia repair (I was told) A month out, I am still having some slight pain on my left side. It’s not constant but it’s there. For instance, if I’m sleeping on my side, upon waking up and moving, I might feel it…or sitting for long periods, stretching, etc. The incisions are all healed. Is this normal? Should it be gone by now?
Creekimp13 5,840 Posted August 13, 2021 Ask your doctor. Could be a scar tissue adhesion. I doubt it's anything serious. Will likely go away with time. Can't hurt to ask, though. Err on the side of safety and see what your doc says. 1 Arabesque reacted to this

Creekimp13 5,840 Posted August 13, 2021 Have you had your gallbladder out? Typically, gallbladder pain is on the right, but in the occasional odd person, it can present on the left.

No, but the pain is right under the area on the left where I have an incision…the place where they pulled the remainder of the stomach out. Doc told me the day after surgery they stitched underneath because of the hernia, but I’m wondering why after a month it’s still slightly painful
