Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted July 27, 2021 Please contact your surgeon, this is not normal. If you haven't been prescribed acid reducing medication you need to be, and if you have, maybe it needs to be stronger. Either way please contact your surgeon ASAP so it can be investigated. It may help if you sleep on an incline and make sure you don't consume anything a few hours before you go to bed.
MadMacher 0 Posted August 1, 2021 So I’m on Lansoprazole which isn’t touching it. They Local Doctor said I was constipated up in my colon and hoping the blockage was causing problems. Gave me Laxido to clear it. I’m still no better. Can’t speak to my surgeon until Wednesday. I’m at my wits end. Been like this for 8 days now.
SleevedK 25 Posted August 2, 2021 (edited) I am sorry that you are so miserable. Unfortunately some people do get really bad reflux after the sleeve. Sometimes the shape of the sleeve just causes it. Personally I have to take a combination of a PPI in the morning plus an H2 blocker at night to deal with my acid reflux. If it doesn't get better, you might need another surgery for it. Here are a couple of recent posts where we were discussing this issue of nasty post-sleeve reflux if any of the advice in the comments on that post is helpful to you.
