Dave In Houston 199 Posted July 26, 2021 Rice hasn't caused me any problems. I've had it with chicken curry and with red Beans and sausage. I'm about two months from surgery. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
catwoman7 11,220 Posted July 26, 2021 some people can handle rice, others can't. They usually recommend you avoid it the first few months because it can expand in your pouch. I think I waited about a year before I ate it. I do eat it occasionally now, but never very much. Usually 1/4-1/2 cup. 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
jami.1992 162 Posted July 26, 2021 I agree with catwoman! Rice is complicated. I tried it when I was about 4-5 month post op and wished I hadn’t. I became very sick, it felt like I had swallowed a bag of rocks. But, now I am 14 months post op and I can eat rice (in moderation) easily and pain free! So it really just depends on the person! 1 GreenTealael reacted to this
