For me it was a 3 hour zoom meeting. I already knew most of what was discussed from researching the surgery.

If you're talking about the pre-surgery nutrition classes, for me it was a joke. They didn't talk about how to eat after surgery at all, just like "did you know french fries are unhealthy??"

There are also classes that introduce you to the whole program, like what the surgery does and how you prepare for it, and what to expect in terms of weight loss, and what the visits you will need are.

I had four classes, I think. In mine, the dietitian talked about the eating plan (before and after) and Vitamins. The health psychologist talked about behavioral changes, transfer addictions, how to deal with awkward situations - forget what else. The PA talked about the actual surgery.
