a_coz_gal 1 Posted July 6, 2021 I know this may sound ridiculous but in the past two weeks I’m experiencing rapid loss of about a lb a day, and I feel like it should be slowing down. Is it possible I’m not getting enough Protein? I didn’t go through all of this just to wreck my body further and I want to make sure I’m doing everything I can to be as healthy as possible. Is this just normal? From weeks 3-5 my loss slowed down a bit so maybe this is the normal cycle? I had sleeve if that makes a difference. I do drink all my Water and I’m measuring out my food. I walk 5 days a week. If not normal I’m ready to call my doc. Crazy how unpredictable the body is!
bellaluna701 5 Posted July 6, 2021 For me, around week 8, I started loosing more again about five a week and had been loosing about two the weeks leading up to it. It lasted about three weeks then slowly went back down to about two. It happened again at five months out. I am six months out now it seems to be going back down to 1 to 2 a week. I think our hormones play into it and like everyone says, everyone is different. If you are worried, it would not hurt to call your doctor. 2 Arabesque and a_coz_gal reacted to this
a_coz_gal 1 Posted July 6, 2021 Okay, so it seems this can happen as part of the natural ebb and flow of weight loss surgery then. I definitely agree with hormones as well, as I know the weight loss does throw things off until our bodies level out. If it continues for a longer period I’ll definitely call my doc but I feel great otherwise so I guess I’ll enjoy this pace while it lasts!
catwoman7 11,220 Posted July 7, 2021 as long as you're following your program, you're good. Weight loss does ebb and flow the first few weeks.
