Hi I am 3 months post op, and I have lost 36lbs. I started at 245. I’ve been feeling discouraged with the weight loss after I had one month stall, but it’s started coming off again.
I run 30 Min four to five times a week. I eat 1000 calories daily. Protein intake is 70-80 grams daily.

I hope things work out for us ladies and maybe it’s just a waiting game now :) we didn’t put the weight on over night :)

3 months post op to the day

11/14/17 Highest Weight 292lb

1/12/21 First Dr Appointment 274lb

5/3/21 Surgery Day 256lb

8/3/21 Todays Weight 212lb

My goal is 185/190lbs since Im 5'8" and athletic/broad shouldered build (college athlete)

Im optimistic to be under 200 for the first time since I was in high school... maybe middle school.

I also feel like I have had a few weeks here and there were I was at a total stand still but still stayed on track. Ive been on 6 trips during this time which I was worried about and still am able to go out to dinner and enjoy food but with a whole new appreciation (granted I can only eat a bite or two but still enjoyable)

Hello!! I am 3 months post gastric bypass surgery and I’ve lost 35lbs. I am so disappointed!!! Clearly I’m a very slow loser and to see the scale fluctuate it’s crazy! I feel like my surgery was a failure

Try to cut your calories down just a touch and get out and walk every day atleast for a half hour, even if it is in 15 minute pieces at a time. It sound almost impossible to take in that few calories and not lose more weight. Are you closely counting?

I'm one moth out and have only lost 10 lbs. I'm told this is normal. I find it a bit discouraging, but going forward is the only way anyhow! I hope it gradually comes off.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
