Sour Fig 0 Posted July 5, 2021 Hi! I'm looking at having gastric band surgery in Turkey in October. I'm 215lbs, 5'5" and from the UK, 49 years old and reach for food when stressed, when happy... sure you know what I mean. I want more energy, less asthma, relieve knees and to wear decent clothes. catwoman7 11,220 Posted July 6, 2021 I know there are a lot of good surgeons in Turkey (although be sure to research them before picking one), but just so you know, almost no one does the lapband anymore. It's largely been replaced by the sleeve. Although some people still have their lapbands and love them, a lot of people have had them removed and have gotten the sleeve or bypass instead.
