ResQNinja 1 Posted July 4, 2021 Anyone got approved for a revision because of a dilated sleeve? Original surgery in 2012. Gained all weight back. Upper GI shows massively dilated sleeve, hiatal hernia and I have grade B esophagitis but biopsies are negative for inflammation.
idohair2 0 Posted July 6, 2021 Besides having gained weight back, what other symptoms did you have? I have only gained about 10 lbs back. But I feel like the acid reflux is getting so much worse. I DO NOT want to resort to PPIs!
ResQNinja 1 Posted July 6, 2021 Acid reflux/ heartburn. I choke on acid at night. I’ve been on a PPI for years. If I forget a dose I wake up choking on acid. My endoscopy shows erosion grade B esophagitis but the biopsies show no information (how I have no clue!) and my upper GI shows a dilated sleeve. The frustrating thing is the radiologist put I have “normal appearing stomach” because my sleeve is stretched to a normal stomach size but it’s NOT normal for someone with a sleeve. So my surgeon is fighting for the radiologist to amend his reading of the scans. It’s very clear it’s stretched big time. 1 SeattleLady reacted to this
