I am definitely starting to feel myself again. I am eating fish, eggs and ground Turkey and rotisserie chicken. I also just started eating vegetables last week with my meals. 3 oz of Protien with 1 oz of vegetables. I’m still adjusting but have no regrets.
Plsmi7th 6 Posted September 8, 2021 Had my RNY August 10, and am officially 30 pounds down just in time for my 1 month surgi-versary!! Although the immediate post-op period was tough, and I regretted my decision at first, I'm now so happy I did it. I'm looking slimmer and have more energy with just the 30 pounds gone! How are my other August peeps??
codevsg 8 Posted September 9, 2021 Week 3 for me and just getting back to work. I thought I was doing well with energy levels and recovery, but I had to take more breaks than usual (so it was a longer day to try and get get hours in) and couldn’t work the full day the first two days and yesterday that really got to me. I ended up getting a lot of stress and anxiety for not doing enough. I’m up at 4am to try and catch up. I’ve only had one other surgery before and I don’t take long vacations so this is really tough for me to have been away for two weeks and still not feel completely recovered. Bariatric Boy 22 Posted September 9, 2021 I am.in my 3rd week and I too become easily fatigued to the point where I need to sit & rest. I like to be busy and I am surprised how long this has taken to get back to 60% let alone 100%.

I think the sample was mixed berry and one other I can’t remember. I got them from my dietician. I’m using the BariMelts. The Calcium melts are a little larger and take a little longer to melt but they are ok.
Mistafootball 15 Posted September 9, 2021 Monday starts the first day of a "regular diet" which isn't regular in my book.. lol Its been an easy journey for the most part for me. Surgery was August 2nd, and It really was better than I anticipated. Now I do waste a lot of food now, Haven't mastered this food thing yet. Soft foods I can eat now, and I had a soft taco and didnt finish it. This is new territory for me and im glad I made the decision

Still going back and forth wether this is the right choice for me. I know I'll probably never lose the weight without the surgery, but I'm afraid I'll fall back into old habits after having the surgery. Is anybody else having these doubt/concerns? Momma4xs 0 Posted September 9, 2021 I don’t know if I’m posting this in the correct spot. Surgery aug 16th I’ve lost only 7lbs in almost 4 weeks. Preop diet I lost 14 lbs in 3 weeks. I’m following diet to the letter. I’m walking 30 min almost every day. Has this happened to anyone else. I’m starting to worry that it didn’t work… surgeon says it’s fine. Only problem is I can’t seem to get all the Water in consistently. Could that be it?

You can’t really expect to lose the same amount as you did on the pre-op diet because the pre-op diet is designed to make you lose weight really fast. In 16 days I lost 15 pounds on pre op diet and then I didn’t lose but about 10 pounds the month following surgery.

Not sure exactly, but my doctor says you can’t worry about wait loss in the first 6 weeks since your body is still healing. I lost 10the first week and then just stalled for two weeks after. I also head some things about too much exercise too soon isn’t good since it could slow down the metabolism and make you more hungry. Not sure on this stuff so you probably want to check back with your doctors or due some more research. I’m just saying I don’t think it is anything to worry about and give yourself time to heal. 1 Momma4xs reacted to this
imhenryxvi 3 Posted September 9, 2021 Oh no! I would be so upset if I were you! I guess just remember that the weight is coming off, just much more slowly than expected. On the bright side, perhaps you won’t experience the sagging skin that a rapid weight loss can cause? 1 Momma4xs reacted to this

My diet is pretty much the same now as it was pre-surgery, I am ingesting less than 800 calories in a day. I am losing about the same amount of weight now as pre-surgery. Am I eating too little? I am 9 days out and have lost 10 pounds since surgery 1 Momma4xs reacted to this
