GummyBearQueen 115 Posted June 18, 2021 While I haven’t cared for a baby while recovering, I’m not able to lift anything heavier than 10 pounds for several weeks post-op (and your incisions will let you know if you move wrong, even sneeze). You’ll also have low energy for a while but it’s manageable for most. My advice is if you have an offer of help with the baby, take it. Good luck! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Bulabula 58 Posted June 18, 2021 I have surgery scheduled for this Monday and have an 18 month old. I asked my sister to come for two weeks while I recover. I’m also planning to stay in a hotel for 2 nights right after surgery so I can rest and focus on healing. I hope you have some help for a few days as you aren’t able to lift anything over 10 lbs.
