dennydenco 11 Posted June 15, 2021 Has anyone had trouble being out in the sun during warmer weather since surgery?
Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted June 15, 2021 No, but then its not that hot in summer where I am. Is it a matter of staying hyrdrated or something else?

Soon2bFit21 109 Posted June 15, 2021 Yes, I am very heat and cold intolerant now. I think this may have something to do with the loss of rapid loss of body fat and metabolism changes.

I know the first week or two my incisions sorta burned when the heat would beat against my shirt so I tended to stay inside a lot those first two weeks. But since then I've been out, even laid out a few times (stomach covered though), and was fine. As for the heat in general, I seem to be tolerating it a lil better than usual. But I guess that's because I lost a total of 44lbs since March (16 of it since surgery). Edited June 15, 2021 by SummerTimeGirl
S@ssen@ch 745 Posted June 15, 2021 Texan here and we're at a point where we're inching into our hottest months. I can't say as I have an intolerance to the heat or sun, although I am rather fair-skinned and don't often spend a lot of time out in the sun anyway. As someone mentioned above, I can say that I'm rather cold intolerant. Even at 3+ years out, I am often cold and am glad we relocated to a warmer state. I don't think I could tolerate those midwest winters anymore.
lizonaplane 1,613 Posted June 15, 2021 Some medications can cause heat and cold intolerance. I have trouble with that due to my meds, but I haven't had surgery yet, so I can't say whether it gets worse with surgery. Check drugs dot com to look up all your meds to check the possible side effects.
