Samym 19 Posted June 13, 2021 Do I count my Protein Shakes and watery Soups as part of my daily liquid, I am supposed to have 60/60 but not sure how to count it.
SummerTimeGirl 582 Posted June 13, 2021 I know during my full liquid phase 32 oz were to come from stuff like Water, shakes, Propel, broth, Gatorade Zero, etc. and the other 32 oz from stuff like blended bean Soups, cream soups, milk, yogurt, sugar free pudding, etc. Do you have any paperwork/a binder with that info for reference that the doc or dietician gave you? SunnyinSC 137 Posted June 13, 2021 (edited) Each doctor's office is different, but Protein Shakes and other pure liquids, like broth or milk (on its own), count towards my liquid goal for the day. So a Protein Shake counts towards both my Protein and liquid goals for the day, which does make meeting them a lot easier right out of surgery. If you have questions about your specific office's plan though, the best thing to do would be to give them a call to clarify. catwoman7 11,221 Posted June 14, 2021 most clinics do seem to let you count those toward your Fluid intake, but not all. I'm not sure why some of them don't.. 1 Arabesque reacted to this
