I had my gbp surgery back in 2018 I was 205lbs I'm 4'10 with a very small frame. I was having health issues more than I can count on being in and out of the hospital. So the doc and I talked and decided that this would be good for me, so I did it. I had no issues and I went down to 110lb in like 6-8 months my energy was back I was able to enjoy riding bikes and going to the pool just everything outside including hiking and camping. I stayed that weight for a long time give or take a little. But it's now 2021 and with in the last two or three months my weight went down to 81lbs and I'm always nauseous and I have been vomiting a lot, my energy is down in always lightheaded and dizzy. I'm meeting with my doctor next week to talk about all of this but I feel I'm not getting enough. I'm getting scars cause I look sick all the time. I'm 48 and I'm thinking about having a gastric reverse done. Is this something to consider?

it can be done, but it's a complicated surgery and they normally won't do it unless you have serious medical issues that can't be resolved any other way. I'd wait and talk to the doctor first - they may be able to figure out what's going on and treat it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
