Recommended Posts

Hi all, I am considering doing my revision through A university medical program and the revision the do for rny gastric bypass is a distal gastric bypass where they bypass even more of the intestine. I was wondering if anyone had any experiences with this good and bad and wouldn’t mind sharing. Thanks.

If you're also juggling studies or need help with academic work, EduBirdie https://edubirdie.com/case-study-writing-service offers a case study writing service that could ease your workload. Balancing your health and education can be tough, so any support might help. Good luck!

The distal gastric bypass can indeed lead to more significant weight loss since it bypasses a larger portion of the intestine, but it can also come with an increased risk of nutritional deficiencies and other complications. It's crucial to discuss all potential risks and benefits with your medical team and possibly connect with others who have had the procedure to hear about their experiences. Good luck with your decision, and make sure you get all the information you need to feel confident moving forward!

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
