Hello I am looking for some different snack ideas? I have pretty much been eating the same things. I am 9 months out so I can eat pretty much anything. I used to eat apples with PB or AB but now the apples are bothering my belly. I eat cukes with cottage cheese, and a lot of raw almonds and walnuts. I don't do hummus as that bothers me also. Just hoping to see what you guys are suggesting. Thanks

I eat much of the same thing most days of the week. Morning snack is a serving of roasted pumpkin seeds, afternoon is Dannon Light-n-Fit yogurt.

Indont like pre salted nuts/seeds. They tend to over salt them.
Our grocery store has bins of so many items that you can buy by the pound. I get the plain ones. They are good and I use them on a salad so unsalted is better for that for me. If they weren’t over salted I’d eat them straight up!

My blood pressure now tends to run low so it’s a salt free for all for me :)

Try some other fruit. Watermelon, rock melon, paw paw, grapes, berries, mandarins, ... I’m eating lots of grapes & red paw paw at the moment (sometimes finely diced the paw paw into my daily yoghurt & have as a ‘dessert’). Maybe tread slowly with high acid fruits like oranges & pineapple. I struggle with mangoes but I’ve found some freeze dried ones - yummy & great for work or travelling. I added some whole/multi grain crackers as a snack & have some string cheese if I want a little something else. I have three or four Snacks a day but one is always fruit, one a good carb & one a dairy. The 4th is the string cheese or a Protein Bar depending upon if I hit my Protein goal.

It’s the one benefit of lower BP - extra salt. Mmmm good.

What about string cheese or other cheeses? fruit (frozen berries are great year round) and Greek Yogurt? Other veggies like red/orange/yellow bell peppers cut in slices with tzatziki or just plain? Roasted veggies? There's a crunchy snack called "bada bean" something or other which is flavored roasted Broad Beans I've just discovered that I'm really into; they're high in Protein and Fiber. Roasted chickpeas (although if hummus doesn't work, those might not either)? Pork rinds? Protein chips? Cherry tomatoes?

I eat strawberries and blackberries, can't do yogurt or dairy too much. I try to eat something that has protein and is healthy.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
