Puréed food stage: what are the recipe favourites?

Hi everyone,

I will graduate from my full liquids stage and start my soft blended/ puréed food diet in two days time.

I am well aware that I should avoid any lumps at this stage and that all foods must be blended well with a “yoghurt-like” consistency. Each meal must include a Protein source (meat, fish, legumes, eggs, or tofu) to keep up my protein intake and aid in wound healing.

Keeping in mind I need 4-6 “meals” a day, I was wondering what simple recipe ideas are out there...

What are the tried and tested recipe favourites?
Off the top of my head ~ hummus, guacamole, tuna and low fat mayonnaise...

you may want to check out the blog "The World According to Eggface". She's a long-time bariatric patient (and still very active in the bariatric community) who loves to cook - she has several recipes on her site for all post-op stages.

My absolute favorite during puréed was retried Beans with cheese melted on top. After that, probably ricotta bake. There are quite a few recipes online for it, if you google ricotta bake.

Does anyone puree their ricotta bake? It’s already in a pretty smooth form like apple sauce.
