Mia Cole 0 Posted May 16, 2021 I am four days postop and I am not having any issues with fluids. I had some hiccups yesterday from drinking too fast that lasted about an hour but then after that I am able to drink over 60 ounces a day and I’m wondering if that is normal or if there’s something wrong with my surgery. I feel likeI shouldn’t be able to hold or drink this much Water per day just yet. Any thoughts?
Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted May 16, 2021 Fluids will typically go straight through the stomach and some people can tolerate more straight off. If you are drinking more than your post op guidelines suggest you should be able to manage at this point, don't drink so much or maybe have a chat with your surgeon or contact at the surgeon's office. 1 Mia Cole reacted to this
HealthyLifeStyle 351 Posted May 16, 2021 Wow good for you. I couldn't even tolerate drinking sips of Water for about 4-5 months out. It would make me feel nauseous. If you are able to drink that much at this point, I think its great. 1 Mia Cole reacted to this
catwoman7 11,220 Posted May 16, 2021 I never had an issue with drinking fluids - and the PA at my clinic said it was fine - that my stomach would let me know if I was overdoing it. 1 Mia Cole reacted to this
