taismommy 0 Posted December 8, 2007 I went to have my consultation with my surgeon and oh my lord I cant stop smiling! I had my nutrition report, PCP ltr, saw the pulmonologist, and psych eval visit(he hadnt received the report yet). He said my doctor kept good notes and I may not have to wait the 6 months! He also said there is a slim chance the insurance wont make me wait, I cant help but be excited:whoo:. In the meantime I have to see the cardiologist for clearance and then I will be all set. Now that I have come down from the clouds:faint:, I do realize that i will most likely have to wait until April/May but thats cool too. I have waited 33 yrs 6 months wont kill me but it sure does feel like it:eek:.
musicalmomma 1 Posted December 8, 2007 It's a great feeling!!! It can also be nerve wracking...having a life changing decision in the hands of an insurance carrier...but never you fear...it may take the jumping of some hoops...but it looks like your carrier covers WLS, so like you said...the most you'll have to wait is 6 months! I remember starting the whole process...I was so excited and scared at the same time! It seemed to take FOREVER...but here I am, 6 months in and feeling great! Keep us posted! I've been overweight for most of my life, it stinks knowing that I'm going to have to wait another 6 months! But I try to remind myself that in the long run it will be worth it. I just think 6 months is excessively long. Even 3 months seems better to me, but ah well. I'm sure the time will fly by. It always does!
