I was able to have my repair done at the same time as my sleeve but I know the recuperation is VERY SIMILAR to the sleeve: liquids, then puree, soft foods, restrictions on what you should lift, etc.

This all will probably help a great deal if your surgeon requires a pre-op diet before the sleeve because you will definitely drop weight during the recovery. It's a fairly significant surgery - my hernia was a lot larger than my doctor anticipated, and it added a lot more time to my surgery.

But, that being said, you are going to feel SOOOOOO MUCH better after taking care of this!!! I sure do!! GL!!

I had a medium sized HH repaired as well at the same time that I did not know I had. Pain wise, I think it was more painful than the sleeve itself. The recovery is roughly the same according to my surgeon. You do need to be extra careful with no heavy lifting or exerting yourself because it cause the stitches to loosen and the hernia to re appear. My surgeon told me 6 weeks to start back with lighter lifting or moderate exertion.
