STLoser 1,099 Posted May 5, 2021 I paid out of pocket for my surgery, but they never tried to sell me anything. I used Premier Protein, which was on their list of suggested shakes, but they didn't care what brand as long as it met their guidelines. mandya84 18 Posted May 5, 2021 With my doctors office they gave me a list of all the shakes I can use. Premier isn’t on my list for pre op as they startled they were realizing their clients weren’t meeting the Protein goal while keeping cards and other things lower. I’m using the slim fast high protein pre-made shakes and I really like them.
lmsrny5 51 Posted May 5, 2021 My office provided a recommended nutritional value per shake. No brand was suggested. They even provided recipes to make your own. 1 SummerTimeGirl reacted to this
HashiHope121 78 Posted June 21, 2021 I’ve been to two doctors offices. One private practice, one non profit hospital based. The private one was selling the BA with their name on it. So that says to me it’s all a business/money making thing… which for the shakes makes me skip the BA and go to the premade ones. But, I will say that the for profit office was much more well staffed, helpful and efficient than the non profit hospital, so there are pros to for profit places. They all have their benefits and drawbacks. Just always be your own advocate and do your own research. I love the premier & Orgain shakes.
