I am seriously thinking about getting the surgery. I am a 54 year old woman. I am five foot one inch tall and weigh 227lbs. My doctor says that I need bariatric surgery. I just wanted to know if anyone has had any serious life threatening problems after the surgery? I 'm a little scared, but I know that I need to do this for my health and self-esteem.
