Oh the brachioplasty is upper arm skin removal and the fleur de lis is Abdominoplasty. Both are under plastic surgery. I got the duodenal switch 10 years ago and finally got the skin removal

Not that you can’t talk about it here but there is a forum that is just for plastics where you may find more people who are at that stage.

I definitely want to hear about this, especially how your brachioplasty was done. Were you in the states or did you go out of country to have then done? *And if you've moved over to the plastic surgery forum, I'll find you there.

Just completed my gastric sleeve surgery on May 20th; working through the liquid diet post op. So far the best thing to eat has been the thinned mashed potatoes. Surgery went well; 30 minutes they tell me, and I was out same day (no overnight stay).

I recommend minimizing car rides post op; our house was 55 miles from the hospital and that ride was painful about 5 hours after surgery. Down 35 lbs so far; 65 lbs to go; well on the way!

Did anyone else go home same day as their surgery? My surgery is next Friday (5/28) and was told I will be going home the same day about 6 to 7hrs after I hit the recovery room. Wasnt sure if anyone else did this too

Yeah, I went back to my hotel room an hour or two after. Next day I was on a plane headed home. I had VSG outpatient with Blossom Bariatrics

My surgery was May 20th and went well. They told me going in that I needed to get there 2 hrs before surgery to go through paperwork and get prepped, then 1 hour for surgery (gastric sleeve) and 4 hrs of observation post surgery. They want to make sure you can walk a couple laps around the nurse station post op, and can drink at least 8+ of the 1 oz cups of Water and ice cubes. At that point they discharged me and we were outta there.

Just checking in on everyone, I am about a week post op now and feeling much better. Still not able to get much down but focusing more on fluids to keep me hydrated. My question to everyone is when does all the swelling go away? I dont really feel gassy anymore and I have lost a significant amount of weight in a week but still feel extremely swollen and I can tell by the way my pants and undies fit.

Hi everyone! First post here and learning this. I had my surgery on May 13th. So I’m post op day 11 I think? I’m feeling pretty good outside of the one incision. It feel like a burning/pulling when I’m up too much. I start puréed stage on Friday and for some reason I’m overwhelmed with what is allowed or not. I’m reading so many mixed info and my dr’s handouts are no better! Lol

I’m due at the hospital in 4 hours for my revision and I’m excited and nervous. Is anyone else still up and counting down?

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
