jackie1533 1 Posted April 15, 2021 Hi all! I’ve attached my stats in this message. Can someone take a look and give me some feedback? I know everyone loses at different rates, but I’m kind of freaking out that I’ll be a super slow loser and won’t end up losing that much. I know I’m doing all the right things. I’m not sure what else to do. I’m getting about 1000 cals a day which I’m sure will only slightly climb as time goes on so then I’m sure my weight loss will continue to slow. Any help or insight is appreciated!!
lizonaplane 1,613 Posted April 16, 2021 Did you ask your nutritionist how many calories to eat? I haven't had surgery yet, so I don't know. I think a lot of them go by volume, not calories (like only eating 2 oz or 1/2 cup of food, ) and I don't know how far out that lasts. good luck! If you have any questions about your progress, I would call your nutritionist.
NaturalMom 3 Posted April 21, 2021 I’m also 2 months out and have lost 34lbs, so we’re pretty close there. As for calories, I’m still around 600 a day. I don’t know where I should be, I wasn’t given limits on calories/carbs, just told to make sure I was getting Protein (60-70g), veg (2 spoons with every meal), maybe a fruit, and Water (1.5 liters) in each day. Qamilian1 32 Posted May 6, 2021 I'm 7 week post-op tomorrow. Down 26 pounds. Was wondering the same thing.
Hop_Scotch 1,632 Posted May 6, 2021 It would really help with context if those asking filled in their profiles...surgery type, surgery day weight, current weight. Regardless of that, sounds like you are doing fine to me, we are all different, lose weight differently and type of surgery and post op guidelines differ too. Factor in any pre surgery weight loss, if this is high, post op weight loss in the first month or two will seem lower than others.
